Quieter Pickleball Policies (Updated 5/13/2026)
At its meeting on May 13 the Board took the following actions:
- Updated the Quiet Pickleball Paddle Policy to better meet noise management expectations. Click HERE to read the policy statement.
- Changed the Club Rules to prohibit the playing of music or other amplified entertainment on the courts. Click HERE to read the policy statement.
The paddle policy change is designed to recognize the advances being made in the design of quieter paddles and the introduction of new materials. Linking more closely to the USA Pickleball and Pickleball Sound Management “Blue List” acknowledges those advancements and helps reduce the incidence of noisier paddles.
The music ban removes an extraneous noise issue affecting our neighbors’ enjoyment of their property. Music during pickleball play is not essential to the sport and adds unnecessary complication to our ability to monitor and respond to excessive noise complaints. There is an exception for music played at Club-sponsored events, where staff controls the volume.

The Board will review its noise mitigation policies at least annually and adjust as necessary to account for changes in paddle technology, acoustic measurement and best sound management practices.
